"It Shames Us": British-Pakistanis Reacts To Grooming Gang Revelations

The issue of grooming gangs, disproportionately involving men of Pakistani heritage in Britain, has resurfaced following the publication of a review on abuse in England and Wales. The government-commissioned audit, led by Baroness Louise Casey, examined existing data and evidence on group-based child sexual abuse. Casey's audit revealed serious institutional failures, including a reluctance by authorities to acknowledge the over-representation of men of Pakistani heritage in these cases, often citing fears of being labelled racist. "We found many examples of organisations avoiding the topic altogether for fear of appearing racist, raising community tensions, or causing community cohesion problems," the report said. The report stresses the need for transparent and consistent data collection on offenders' ethnicity and nationality, arguing that poor national data has hampered effective action. The report's findings have triggered strong reactions on social med...

"Exploited Virat's Weakness, Sachin...": England Great Makes Big Revelations

Former England cricket team fast bowler James Anderson opened up about bowling to two of India's modern greats - Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar . Anderson, who is the most successful fast bowler in the history of Test cricket, dismissed Sachin 9 times and Virat 7 times during his career. When asked about the most difficult batter to bowl to, Anderson ended up picking Virat over Sachin.  Anderson explained that although he dominated Virat during their first meeting during 2014, the Indian batter bounced back and went on to have a good record against the pacer. Sachin, on the other hand, did not have such an intense clash with him and there was never a major 'shift in dominance'. "I had some success early against Kohli, the first time he came to England in 2014. I really exploited his weakness of outside off-stump, and then the next time I played against him – he had obviously gone back and worked on that – he was totally a different player. He really had taken his ...

'It's Nothing Compared With What's Coming': Israel on Strikes On Iran

Israel pounded Iran for a second day on Saturday and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said its campaign would intensify dramatically, while Tehran called off nuclear talks that Washington had held out as the only way to halt the bombing. A day after Israel wiped out the top echelon of Iran's military command with a surprise attack on its old foe, it appeared to have hit Iran's oil and gas industry for the first time, with Iranian state media reporting a blaze at a gas field. Netanyahu said Israel's strikes had set back Iran's nuclear programme possibly by years and rejected international calls for restraint. "We will hit every site and every target of the Ayatollahs' regime, and what they have felt so far is nothing compared with what they will be handed in the coming days," he said in a video message. In Tehran, Iranian authorities said around 60 people, including 29 children, were killed in an attack on a housing complex, with more strikes reported ...

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he is "not concerned" about a regional war breaking out after Israel targeted and destroyed Iran's military and nuclear sites, while also killing its top nuclear scientists and commanders. In an interview to news agency Reuters, President Trump said he had initially tried to delay an Israeli strike, giving Iran ample time for diplomacy and dialogue, but added that he had given a 60-day ultimatum to Tehran, "And today was the 61st day," he said. However, the US President said he is still hopeful for furthering nuclear talks with Iran. He said that Washington will go ahead as planned for talks scheduled in Oman for Sunday, but after Israel's major offensive, he is doubtful that Iran will participate. Cummins Collides With South Africa Star, Then Uses DRS To Get Him Dismissed

Australia skipper Pat Cummins proved yet again why he is the man made for big stages. In the ICC World Test Championship final against South Africa, Cummins bagged a 6-for on Day 2 of the title-decider, pulling the game in his team's favour. However, en route to a heroic performance, Cummins also found himself in the center of an eventful episode that saw him collide with Proteas star Kyle Verreynne after hitting him on the pads in front of the stumps. However, shortly after, the two bumped against each other and fell down. After an inswinging delivery from Cummins hit Verreynne, the batter ran for a single while the bowler turned his face towards the umpire and began appealing for LBW. Without realising that the South African batter was also running in the same line, Cummins bumped into him as both fell down. Pat Cummins sent back Verreynne and Jansen in a single over. pic.twitter.com/9wuqNyGMmP — THAKUR (@JThakur29) June 12, 2025 While the on-field umpire ruled the LBW ca...

Justifying his decision to join hands with the BJP, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said he and his colleagues were not "saints" who could remain in the opposition and be content with protesting and shouting slogans. Speaking at an event here to mark the 26th Foundation Day of the undivided NCP, Ajit Pawar, currently Maharashtra deputy chief minister, made no definitive statement about the possibility of reuniting with his estranged uncle Sharad Pawar's faction. "The NCP was founded on the ideologies of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj. Some people question our decision to join hands with the BJP and the Mahayuti coalition," said Ajit Pawar, who parted ways with his uncle in 2023. "But didn't we align with the Shiv Sena in 2019? Even then, compromises were made. Just sitting in the opposition, raising slogans and taking out protest marches is not enough. We are n...

"I instructed the IDF to act so that the Madleen ... does not reach Gaza," Katz said in a statement. "To the antisemitic Greta and her Hamas-propaganda-spouting friends, I say clearly: You'd better turn back, because you will not reach Gaza." US Man Kills And Dismembers 19-Year-Old College Student On First Date

A 34-year-old man in the US has been found guilty of killing and dismembering the body of a 19-year-old girl on their first date after the two watched an episode of a Netflix series with an eerily similar theme. Ex-Startup Founder Struggles To Find A Job, Says "No One Is Calling Back"

A former startup founder recently opened up on Reddit about his struggles to find a job after entrepreneurship, despite having done it all. In his post, titled 'I was a founder. Now I'm looking for a job and no one's calling back or even answering', the anonymous user revealed that he had co-founded a healthy food and beverage startup with two friends, where they managed every part of the business themselves, from marketing and customer service to finance, compliance and content. "We were bootstrapped, learned everything on the fly and kept it running as long as we could," he said. However, his dream soon shattered as, without funding, his co-founders stepped away, and he eventually had to shut down his firm and enter the job market. "We reached a point where we had to make a decision. Either raise money we weren't ready for or accept that maybe it wasn't going to scale the way we dreamed," he said. "We couldn't put in anymore money...

Elon Musk's political adventure has been nothing short of a roller-coaster ride - Oval Office access and conference calls with world leaders at the President's golf resort at its peak and being threatened about his government contracts being scrapped and tax benefits being revoked at its worst. But it is Musk's businesses that have borne the brunt of his political escapade, especially in the last 24 hours, after his public fallout with former friend and boss Donald Trump. Tesla has become the worst-performing large-cap stock this year. Its valuation was on a steady decline ever since Musk made his political ambitions public.  THE DECLINE Its decline picked pace amid Trump's rhetoric about "beautiful" oil and his executive order on Day 1 of his second term ordering to "drill baby, drill" to "Make America Great Again". As Trump kept hard-selling vehicles that run on petroleum, the demand for Electric Vehicles or EVs fell sharply. Chief Ex...

Mumbai Founder Criticises Employees Quitting After Payday, Internet Reacts

Kiran Shah, the founder of Mumbai-based startup GoZero, is facing backlash for his LinkedIn post criticising employees who resign shortly after receiving their salaries. In his post, Mr Shah shared he recently changed his company's pay date for employees from the 10th of every month to the 1st. However, he said some of his employees misused this policy and resigned the moment the salary was credited, and didn't show up to work the next day.  "I used to give salaries on the 10th of the next month. A lot of startups I know do the same. Some even give on 15th of the next month. I realised this causes a lot of inconvenience to the team who has outgoings in the 1st week. From December 2023, I changed the salary payment date to 1st of every month," Mr Shah wrote on LinkedIn.   "And while most of them are exceptionally loyal towards the mission, there are an unfortunate few who misuse this and resign the moment we credit the salary on 1st and don't show up to work...
